lift 舉起來高台貴手後就正式移除了

lift (v.) 常用的意思是“舉起來“。 lift something. 此外還有一個用法 formally remove or end a legal restriction, decision, or ban.

Example:

President Bush on Thursday said North Korea has demonstrated a commitment to dismantling its nuclear weapons program and will be rewarded by being removed from the U.S. list of state sponsors and having trade sanctions lifted.

slump (n.) 指 a sudden severe fall in the price, value, or amount of something.

是很嚴重的下跌喔。不是一般的跌喔。

prognosis (v., n.) 預測： a forecast of the likely outcome of a situation

Example: iPhone Sales and Prognosis for the Future

和這個字很類同的： progress (n.)

prognosis 之後進行了，就有 progress 了

早上精神好要做正事

早上精神好要做正事。雜事留到下午想睡覺時再處理啦。

但是，你真的做得到嗎？考驗你的執行力了。

Sift and Lift

Sift (v.) 用來作為去濾的意思。和 sift 相關的字： sieve (n.) 就是那個濾網啦。

Sift through 解釋為仔細的搜索。

Example: sifting trough the wreckage of their home town.

Lift (v.) 意思是把東西舉起來。

兩個字只差第一個字母，後三個字母皆相同。不知道可否使用這樣的句字：

Lift a sieve to sift.

女人的群聚效果

女人是偉大的. 因為具有"群聚" 的效果.

英文中, her 為"她的". 加一個 "d", herd 成動詞作成群的意思.

Example:
Mr. Obama remains ahead of Mrs. Clinton in delegates, in the popular vote and in national polls, and Mrs. Clinton certainly has her own problems trying to herd Democrats into her corner.
